jubs17 Liked a comment about Press Release e*thirteen Launches The Grappler Tire

I think I'll run these instead of an Assegai simply because I hate the Maxxis name for the tire so much. Currently running an E-thirteen semi slick on the rear after my Kenda one slashed apart. Maxxis Minion SS was great except it only lasted a few rides before the tiny knobs were worn down or cut off! My E-thirteen SS tire has been rolling for half a season now.

Shop Mechanic Added a comment about feature Zerode Bikes Available in the United States

9/25/2011 1:00pm
I rode a Zerode down a staircase to test the claims of better rolling over square edged hits. After trying some FSR bikes and traditional low single pivots on the same stairs I can report that the Zerode is much faster over this type of obstacle. Most bikes feel like you are dragging the brakes when going over square edged bumps. The Zerode had no such feeling and just picked up a lot of speed. To me the gearbox is a side benefit. The real story is how this fast this bike rolls over the rough stuff.

Shop Mechanic Added a comment about photo Carl Decker

My experience is that they don't stick to the ground any more than a 26er but when they are on the ground they can gobble up the little rocks which may be Decker's goal here. Perhaps he pre-jumped and is looking to get some backside from the drop followed by some pump at the bottom instead of jumping over it?
