Thanks, and I'd certainly love to be a part of that launch! That's about what I figured just based on eyeballing main pivot location and the leverage curve. It was bordering on suspicious that there was virtually zero mention of pedaling capability anywhere though!

It doesn't seem like Orbea obligated any reviewers to actually pedal the thing though... My MTB 'scene' doesn't involve bike carrying mules or heli drops.

Awesome bike! I really appreciate the honesty about the gearbox drag, no shifting under load, and low engagement points. This stuff rarely comes up in the magical internet gearbox world where so many think these are the magic bullet. It sounds like a good solution for someone who wants a tough, low maintenance rig.

Seriously weak. Like those Syntace rims are anything to be ashamed of- those are good wheels! It's like putting Ferrari badges on a Porsche or something.

My Monarch RT3 tune is Low Compression, Mid Rebound. The Low Compression tune is awesome- this bike pedals really well without any platform/pro pedal, and the shock feels closer to a coil with minimal compression damping. I never touch the blue lever, even on fire road climbs. It just doesn't bob. I weigh 180ish with gear, and I run the shock at 195PSI. The rebound has to be set within a few clicks of full slow due to the high leverage ratio. I've also filled up the outer "volume spacer" sleeve on the shock with plastic shims to make it...
