For what it's worth, I've been doing some short XC loops on a DJ bike, running a 38 x 12 - 23. I have to stand up when I'm climbing (well, pretty much all the time actually, lol). I ride in south east England, so we've got a few little hills but nothing major, and I can climb the majority...

I have commuter bike envy, now. Mine does what it's supposed to, though - Marin Hamilton 29er, doubles up as my occasional xc bike.

For me it's all about the photography and Vital hits the nail on the head - the more the better, in my opinion. The audio with the images is a nice touch too. I subscribe to Dirt (never read a copy of Decline; maybe I should?) and the first articles that I read are race and event coverage and rider...

Here's a question for you guys.. How do you stay creative with your shots? I sometimes feel like I'm taking the same old shots just in a different location and I can get a bit frustrated sometimes. Any tips to get inspired? BTW, I'm liking K.Shiz's idea of setting up, then turning 180°. Smile

The UCI really are a joke, aren't they? I think the entire MTB community should boycott the World Cup and we should start our own governing body that actually gives a damn about MTB (and cycling, for that matter).

I try and figure out what all the outcomes will be and think through all the get-off options so I'm kinda prepared for them if something does go wrong. When it comes to actually riding it - whether it's dirtjumps, techy bit of trail or whatever - I try and focus more on the landing or riding the section out.
