I have the Pearl Izumi X-Alp Launch II and the Boa closure is in the top center, which is harder to hit against obstacles. Had them for a year without any issues.

Best, easiest and most economic upgrade I have ever done at $42 dollars and change with tax. I run a 32T with a regular derailleur (no clutch) and no chain guide and have not had a single dropped chain. The upgrade dropped over a pound of weight (originally running LX 3 x10) and it makes it look simple, clean and flashy. Highly recommended!
