Wouldn't work too well on tires, would come off almost immediately by my guess. All the flexing and movement tires go thru and all. Fabric on the other hand would soak it up, I did a pair of shoes and it seems to work really good on them. I don't think I'd put it on shirts or shorts though. Possibly downhill pads/ armor, don't think it would last longer than a day or two though.
My frame is mostly white (yeti 303rdh) so that white haze doesn't show. If anyone is concerned about it, I wouldn't recommend using it. Shouldn't show on light colors, but black will show the hazeyness real easy.
Well it wasn't muddy, actually quite dusty. I must say it did keep the dust off mostly, and when I washed the bike what little dust was on there came right off. More so than it usually would anyway. This stuff seems like it could be promising.
It's definitely not clear and has a tough texture too. But it definitely works with water, pretty cool actually. We'll see how it does with the mud tomorrow.
I went out and bought it. Pulled the wheels, brake pads, and covered the stanchions / rear shock on my dh bike. I sprayed the whole thing down. I'm going riding tomorrow and I expect it to be muddy do to all the rain we've gotten recently. I'll let you know how it does.
