Castle Rock, CO: This summer, mountain bike racers across the Front Range will have a new venue to fulfill their individual need for speed. RaceCO, a local race promotion company will be holding a weekly race series at the new Phillip S. Miller Athletic Complex (MAC) in Castle Rock.
The "RACE THE MAC" series will be held on Wednesday evenings starting on July 15th. "This year, we'll hold five races, and hope to expand on that in upcoming seasons" said Kyle Sipes from RaceCO. Organizers say that Front Range cyclists have long wanted a series like this. "We're really trying to bring a family friendly series to Castle Rock and give our fellow cyclists a new outlet for fun."
"The MAC facility trails offer a great opportunity for us to bring a race series to the area. It has everything you'd want in a short track mountain bike race." The MAC facility itself, as well as it's over 7 miles of natural surface trails are new to the Town of Castle Rock. The 230 acre park has 60,000 square feet of indoor recreation space as well as the 7 miles of trail and a challenge staircase and many more amenities to come..
