Course Description
Course distance: approx. 6 miles (may change from week to week)
Elevation gain per lap: 680+/- feet Vertical
Beginner (Male/Female), Junior: approx. 10 miles, 850+ vertical
Sport (Male/Female), Single Speed, Fat Bike, Tandem, Cyclocross : approx. 14 miles, 1,250+ vertical
Open Class (Male/Female): approx. 18+ miles, 1,850+ vertical
Start times
“Last Chance” Preregistration opens at 4:30 p.m.
Pre-Ride opens 4:30 p.m.
Last Chance registration closes at 5:15 p.m.
Open Class (Male/Female), Race starts Promptly at 5:45 p.m.
Sport (Male/Female) Single speed, Start Time 5:50p.m.
Fat Bike, Tandem, Cyclocross. Start time 6:30p.m.
Beginner, Junior (Male/Female) Start Time 6:35p.m.
Vendor Info
Food trucks will start to serve food and beverages from 5-8 p.m. (Bring cash)
Beer Venue brought to you by Grist Brewing Company (No Cash Required), Free Beer will be provided for all legal adults “Identification will be required” and must be a paid participant of the Race the MAC Series). Number plates may be requested to verify Entry.
What Class are you?
Are you New to Mountain Bike Racing? Not sure what class to race your first race? This is a quick guide with all the class description below.
JUNIORS CLASS- 11 years to 17 years. ( High School, Junior High, Elementary)
BEGINNERS CLASS- Recreational riders. New to racing? You ride, but don’t usually race. While riding your local trail system, you’re not blown out after a 100% effort. 15 miles is a long ride for you.
SPORT CLASS- You have either raced before, or ride hard when you ride your local spot. You can crush out a couple hour ride, with a decent amount of climbing. Sport Class adds approx. 4 miles to the Beginner Class.
Open Class- Typically race CAT 1 or CAT 2 at other races. This class is fast with 3 laps for experienced and accomplished racers.
Everything Class- You ride a single speed, tandem, fat bike, cyclocross bike. You’re up for anything!
Race the MAC Director, reserves the right to move any participant up in class after each race, please choose your class appropriately.
