I agree with others that there's more that could be done to make bikes fit riders across the whole size spectrum (lots more), but I still think this is a cool trend in the bike industry. I love that Pivot changes tube diameters, layup, suspension kinematics, and chainstay length for different sizes. So I guess to Pivot and the bike industry I'd say keep doing this and give us more.

That's a fair point, we briefed a bit before starting our test that we were looking for any adverse attributes out of the ride that stood out, primarily looking at if the XL would be super flexy or that the Small would be hard to ride the same terrain on. Switching bikes to see if those became more apparent from the opposite frame sizes would be a good way to ensure we're feeling things out correctly although it'd be pretty difficult to ride such a small or large bike for either one of us haha definitely a fair question to...

We've made a trip to Tucson the last two winters. The riding is a lot of fun, and the food is even better. Premises Skate Park is also a pretty awesome indoor facility there.

Pivot Cycles Added a comment about product review Mach 6

The head angle change does have to do with the wheelbase, but more specifically, the front center measurement. Even for larger riders, if this measurement pushes too far out, the bike will have more of a tendency to push or flop so depending on the bike model and the amount that this front center grows, we make minor adjustments to some of the dimensions that affect this to result in more balanced overall feel and performance across the size range. It's also the same reason why our smallest XC bikes like the Mach 4 run a steeper seat angle and...
