9/2/2014 7:18pm The tire was a single ply Maxxis Minion DHR. As I was informed today, this was really the enduro-style tire, not DH. The sidewall folded right up and pierced. The hole is actually larger than it seemed and ran right along the bead. So I'm just going to go with a 2 ply Minion. That should do the job! Thanks...

9/17/2012 4:41pm Ok; as for how often I ride, this summer I haven't gone too much, but next summer I plan on getting a season pass and doing a few races. I plan on getting more serious about dh in the next few years. So, it's looking like I'm probably going to upgrade my bike.
