I plan on converting my Giant Reign Advanced 29 to mullet. My plan is to install 205 x 65 shock, bump the fork travel from 160mm to 170mm, change to 170mm cranks, and lastly a +1-1.5 degree angle set to hopefully lift the bb.

i see..if you were to choose between the reign 29 on a mullet vs the status..which would you pick as a daily driver?

I can't compare to full 29er as I have built this as mullet. I didn't change shock eye to eye length, just used 205x65mm shock what gives aprox 157mm travel, front 170mm (to rise bb a bit) Head angle was pretty slack, I think 62,5-63 deg. No problems with steering. As I'm rather short, 170cm, I had no issues with uphill performance and bob (150mm dropper fully inserted). BB height rather low, as I remember aprox 335mm so some pedal strikes that’s why 170mm cranks. After some time I have changed shock to coil EXT and that improved this bike...

I'd really like to know as well..how it rides compared to the full 29r..as well as how it goes on the climbs..seat angle would change as well as head angle..

Hi, how is this working for you? Mullet and full stroke? What angles did you get? What travel? What bb hight? Did you use any special hardware to mount the damper and change eye to eye lenght?
