Ouch, I even run chamois when shuttling or riding the lifts. I've seat bounced a couple times and have been thankful for the cushion. Post ride beers...growing up surfing taught me the art of the towel change.

Is that old Canon still metering in B+W? Hopefully you're correcting the lateral color fringes in PS since the camera can't do it for you!

I'm from SoCal. How many WC racers from Europe do I see training here, lots. Aaron and Sam Hill don't seem to have a problem riding the much. Riding in the dry isn't that different from riding in the rain. It is loose no matter.
What is the big deal about using a front derailleur? Here in SoCal you need a granny since lots of the climbs are so steep. I've been running a Gamut dual ring guide for years without a problem. Sure beats the hell out of walking up the steep climbs.
