Hahaha! I got DK country too! My parents got me a much-needed Thule 2-bike hitch rack and some winter XC riding gear. I'm giving myself a new DH track. Just gotta build it first. Broke ground yesterday, appropriately.

The butcher and clutch are both great DH tires! The clutch has been my go-to for most DH stuff for the last year. The rubber compound is grippy but they last longer than one would expect. Wider center knobs give you better braking in soft stuff than minion DHF's. I've been happy with both, although I wouldn't call them "low...

Specialized purgatory is a pretty sick AM tire. Light and rolls fast but agressive enough to inspire some confidence on descents. I've had good luck with maxxis advantage and larsen TT 2.25's as well.

YES... Planned obsolescence should be illegal...and much of the bike industry is guilty. Additionally, most riders (including myself from time to time) are VERY guilty of buying into perceived obsolescence...is a degree slacker head angle really gonna make you that much faster than your current DH bike? Do you really need fresh tires for every race run? We're not all...
