Well me and two other friends who have all had this bike have found that it blows through the travel and doesn't feel very progressive. After a bunch of tuning to the air shock and adding spacers I got it to feel really good. However, with a coil I felt that it was easy to blow through the bottom half of the travel. I was running 30 percent sag with both the air and coil. However trying the air at 25 percent sag was a little harsh in small bump sensitivity.

I found in one "oh crap" casing type moment the grip rotated on me. Now this may have been improper torque settings, but I always use a torque wrench so I doubt that was the case. However, this has only happened on one occasion and has not happened since. Another thing which is not as big of a deal, but the exterior portion of the grip is a little soft. In scenarios where my hands come on to the bar on the outside of the grip, it doesn't feel quite as firm as the exterior portion of dual lock on...

The Emerald is simply an amazing fork! Its has it all, does it all, and takes anything you throw at it. I really love how adjustable it is. I ride all different terrains; from drops and jumps, to rock gardens, to smooth and flowy trail. The fork is easy to adjust with just the turn of a knob. I used to run the 2012 WC Boxxer.
