Had a quick scan through the UCI rankings to see if any riders with a few points were so far unlinked with moves . Based on this cursory glance I'm going to predict Greg Williamson and Henry Kerr to join up with Reece Wilson on his Gamux team .
I wonder if Mondraker will bring someone into replace him for the season like Ollie Davis and the Syndicate last year . I assume at this stage everything is paid for anyway so you might as well bring someone else along .
That's what they said on the podcast. I could see Intense only wanting to support one team at the world cup and I'm guessing the cost of supporting MS would be higher than the IFR setup . MS didn't have a great year last season and according to MUTN they had added a few riders for points but they might...
Just listened to the MUTN podcast , moves I hadn't heard before were Cam Bal to Yeti , heather Wilson to Mondraker and Greg Williamson to Gamux . The other one was the MS team off Mondraker frames and on GT but obviously that looks unlikely now although I would imagine contracts would of been already signed so who knows...
Pivot looking a bit light on numbers now , Bernard's trip for UCI points might not have been just for you tube views . Any rumors about Camile Balanche ? I would have thought quite a few teams would be keen .
It's obviously not a surprise but when a company like Trek with a bike like the Slash to sell can't see the value in competing at the EDR it really hammers the point . Under normal circumstances Hattie would have her pick of teams , but at the moment ? Hope she finds something decent for next year .
I haven't listened to the episode but Sam Blenkinsop is on the stay on your bike podcast saying he's stopping riding world cups but still racing other events which I would assume to be hardline and crankworx . I reckon there will be a fair few riders making similar plans for next year . It will be interesting to see...
They could only pick about half those for world cups . But you could have a second tier of riders doing the US monster races or IXS cups then if someone is winning those races swap them out for one of your world cup riders . It would add an interesting dimension to team management but I'm not sure it...
Bodhi Kuhn would be a loss to trek in my humble opinion. It was his first year in seniors last year and apart from injury effected rounds he consistently qualified for finals , which these days is pretty good going . I hope Danny to Giant is true , he's still got the pace to be at the pointy end...
My understanding of it is that the teams standing is made up of the points of the riders for next season . so putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5 , possibly the pivot team might look different next year . It looks to me that brands are cutting back on B teams and probably Enduro to...
I think the old UK downhill series used to have UCI points , I seem to remember at the time there was a cost to having the event UCI sanctioned and it was hard enough to break even for the organisers without kicking up to the UCI .
I'm guessing that the Bernard in Indonesia thing means that for some reason the Enduro points aren't counting for the team rankings? Pivot have a pretty strong showing in EDR or have I missed something? Did I hear somewhere that only the world champs in Enduro give UCI points ? Just watching BKs vlog from the event and it looks...
Just listened to the MUTN podcast. Doesn't sound very positive for Enduro , sounds like factory teams pulling out to support the more expensive new downhill set up .
He's praised her a lot on the downtime race reviews and said himself she's got added value now as her points can help get a team elite status . Fabian Barel on wyn tv gave a fairly management buzzword heavy answer on Canyons plans for next year which I think basically spelt the end of the pirelli team , I...
