Totally agree! Never really comment, but that was 1st slideshow i have ever turned off, who gives a shit about the pre race. WC is starting and we’re super excited, vital slideshows start (which are normally a highlight) and u fire out something that is just trying a get shitstorm going...a bit weird boys.
I've been running these brakes for about 6 weeks on a trip around Colorado and Utah. Totally agree with most points of the review, but the size issue is way over done. you would have to have really small hands to have an issue. the stopping power and modulation is great...but the levers of a bit crap. the bite point seems to do nothing and my levers seem to have a bit of lateral play. Way better than the Avid XO trails that failed at the start of the trip.
so...a great wheel? perhaps, ticks most of the boxes. but really lets itself down on durability. Current on my 2nd rebuild within a year. Spec have been good in organising a free build, but from the conversations I've had with them they are aware of issues with them. Spoke tension being the main issue. Also, don't run them tubeless for any length of time as the al nipple rot in the sealant and cause spokes to pop. all in all i would not recommend this wheel for everyday riding. Maybe i'm just starting to realise that carbon has no place...
