Great post, Nick. I've never really heard the mechanic's perspective, but I completely agree that you guys don't get the respect you deserve. It's as much an art as it is a science, and finding people who can bridge that gap is no easy task. Best of luck out there, man.

Dang that's beefy. I guess I'm always of the opinion that most of the "technological advancements" being made in suspension linkages are market ploys. That's not to discredit some of the amazing things being developed -- look at where we are today vs. 1992. But I like simplicity -- the single pivot is simply sexy.

Based on the fact that they can't even make the bike presentable (CUT THE CHAIN) for a press release, I'm gonna say there wasn't a lot of thought put into this.
