Its not as a group set, especially if building a bike up,but most people don't do that and don"t need carbon cranks and the rest of the fancy bling, replacing an XX1 cassette for example is not cheap. Buying a new bike with XX1 is at the high end, so no low end bike budget options, you don't spend 3k on a bike for budget purposes and then out out and buy XX1 for it, not normal anyways, but it would be nice to buy a 3k bike with a X9 XX1 equivalent.

SRAM rep high up in the chain told me X.01 is coming soon. Same 1x11 system, just with a non-hollow carbon crank, and lower level cassette, derailleur and shifter. Should save you some moneys, but lets be real...XX1 isn't thaaaaat expensive for what is in my opinion the best, most versatile, reliable, and efficient mountain group on the market...

Having ridden single ring for years, some time before XX1 and now XX1 for 8 months you need 11 speed for the correct ratios, plus if you do what you suggest you severely limit the front ring size options you can run for various courses, for general riding Ive found a 32t front ring more than enough, but would like a 34t maybe for slightly more open faster courses. Shifting would also be compromised, the current spread of XX1 was well thought out imo/e, been running hard no dropped chains not a missed shift, recently ran an Enduro in the...

Only 15 rides you will be impressed, Im a Sram man through and through but after 8 months on these I am disappointed with them, Ive had no issues problems as such, some noise, turkey gobble in the same steep decent situations while in the wet, but the power is just lacking for me, I ride a Mojo HD, 180/180 rotors I could go bigger in the front, but my friends SLX 160/180 is way more powerful than my dual piston XOs, if it wasn't for the matchmaker integration with my Reverb and Shifter I probably would have changed already...

No 11 spd options ala XX1 big mistake Sram, I have XX1, but this would have given you a major jump on the competion having lower groups atleast to X9 with a 11spd single ring groupset like XX1 and have a major impact on changing MTB, plus a huge jump on Shimano with a major point of difference reaching a bigger market than XX1 alone can do.

What no JLo at the first round why is he in the Dirt Fantasy League grhh! Btw this is the hardest most technical round too, normally where the Super Enduro rounds finish, definitely a test of man and machine, lets settle this wheel war once and for all, no factory interference, let the riders choose and let the blood fall where it may!

Um yeah, lets wait to see the results, these are Euro trails, maybe for US rounds, but Im picking 26er riders are going to spank weird wheel sizes and show who's king once and for all, lets get ready to Rumble! Oh and Fabien B for the win, JC second, Serrocotta 3rd, Manuel Ducci 4th, only big wheel I give a chance to maybe the Enduo 29, good riders dont need wheel gimmicks, spank em boys!

Well Im totally with AC on the Enduro format, the US way is not the way forward for Enduro if it is stay stay alive and be long term sustaining, riders want the challenge thats whats unique to Enduro the only thing I agree with BL on is riding to stages, like AC this keeps the venues open and also allows for new and more options to develop and may also minimise course knowledge and over pre practice from locals, but even that swings in roundabouts, as each location is an advantage and disadvantage so it balances out. 2 days...

Excited as well, I just hope organisers don't ruin Enduro and stay true to its roots as its run in Europe, announcing course before the race is not cool and running a XC race and calling it Enduro is not Enduro, Its popular right now because it gives riders what they have been missing in most other events it rewards riders who ride have a balance of skills fitness and can read terrain, we don't need namby pamby events to cater for 29er never been on a bike before riders, if thats required do whats done in Triathlon and run...
