This is a good article and a good representation of the value of the Bottomless feature. This should enlighten a lot of folks who feel they can get more from their suspension.

I want to add a pro tip: in slide #17 where the rider is using a socket to...more

Thanks, Bturman. That's exactly what should have been in the video. My comment wasn't me needing help, I was just saying I think it would help a ton of riders to know everything you said above, along with the video.

I'll chime in for the hell of it. The range of LSC offered on the Pike is somewhat limited. From what I gather the clinic was in air spring tuning more than anything else - as this is a part of the puzzle that most ignore.

LSC obviously does play into the...more

I like the way you did this, much more than PinkBike! However, don't you think it's important to explain the relation of low speed compression damping? You just barely hit on it at the very end. To me, you should go just as in depth about LCD as you did the tokens. Most viewers will see this and think it's all about tokens, and not even think to adjust their LCD. Obviously, each case is different, but I think riders need to now the importance and difference of each adjustment.

Otherwise, love the way you did this! Adding the video comparison was a great idea.

I've never been Giant fan.... at all. But that looks pretty promising! However, is the goggle strap keeper really necessary? I would rather see a groove or flatter area than a silly cord.

Greg Minnaar gained a whole lot of points in my book! So many other riders wouldn't have even considered racing.

What's Inside the 2016 FOX DH Shocks?

Because DH riders love riding with tools....

Don't get me wrong, I always have tools on me. But pretty much all of the DH guys I know don't ride with tools, or even a tube (even on their trail bikes).

I sure wouldn't make taking it for a rip, though!

"To step up to a more or less comparably spec'd carbon model, check out the Expert Carbon..." More or less? The Expert is a better spec...period. Better brakes, drivetrain, crankset, and frame.

Multiple times you claimed this bike comes spec'd with XO1... It comes Spec'd with X1 wink

As we discussed below, what exactly is this "problem"? The RC is the same damper as the RCT3, but without the complicated internals that offer the open/pedal/lock positioning. Why would the RC be any less sensitive than the RCT3 - if anything I would predict that the RC...more

I consider the cable housing to be affordable armor for the downtube.

I have a question regarding the Pike RC:
Isn't it the same damper as in the RCT3 whitout the fast compression adjustment?
