Maxxis moving to a new compound and keeping the EXACT same name and logo as the previous compound is baffling & somewhat infuriating. They did this with the new EXO+ too (added a slimmed down butyl insert from the DD). Am I getting one with the new compound or the old compound? Who knows, it's almost impossible to tell??! Lucky dip!

From memory the frame on it's own without shock, BB, & headset was approx 3.8KG, or 4.2KG with 200x57 DVO Topaz shock installed. I believe the hardtail frames are around 3 to 3.5KG

Nice build! How's the single pivot with progressive coil work out? Want to try on my Marino but cautious of low sag vs blowing through travel.

Ordering process was fairly lengthy, mainly due to me changing things however. Frame from first order to delivery was about 3 months. No issues with alignment, was good to go out of the box & is still riding as well as when first built!
