Go to Salvagetti Bicycle Workshop at 1611 Platte St. in Denver (http://www.salvagetti.com/). Ask them about the Kona demo deal. It's like $60 for bike, ticket, and armor (assuming they still have it this year). Perhaps buy something while you're in there.

I think this brings up a bigger problem that the sport has. We have so few legal places to ride our bikes. The sport is going to have a hard time growing if you can only go ride w/ people who are in the know about super secret riding spots. I think we need to start getting our shit together...

So, in essence, make sure you know what you're doing, how to hit the feature, thereby minimizing the unknowns (risk). Then visualize success, smile, and stay loose. Also, if you're goin for it, don't hesitate, that's a great way to hurt yourself--learned that lesson the hard way. Now pull the trigger.

Are you excited about racing at Beech Mtn, NC? Have you ever been to the South? What's your impression of southern folk? Has any track or feature ever intimidated you (even though you still killed it)? Do you find any aspect of riding a bike more difficult than a moto, in terms of going as fast as possible? What's your favorite American track? How'd you like our shuttle trails in CO last winter? Are you gonna do any MSC races this year even though you're not on Yeti?
