Hi, mine is a medium and I'm 5ft7/8. The paint is decent overall, it looks really good but the lacquer is not most durable ever. It has rubbed where the cables contact the frame (I would recommend clear tape with hindsight), I'll probably get Starling to respray in 3 or 4 years from now as I think it was cheapish. A custom job would be cool for some other colours too though. On a owners ride, Starling said they've experimented with more 'raw' finishes on non-stainless steel frames, not sure if they officially offer this, but could be worth asking...

Hi man, sorry haven't been on vital in a long time. Have loved the bike, been on two dh French alps trips and multiple bike park days and it's a machine. With hindsight I would've clear taped some of the areas where the cable rubs on the frame but I have done that now. Best thing to do if you want to test one is email Starling and you can demo one, they gave me a swoop for around 5 days to test and it convinced me to save up and build one up! They are very cool relaxed guys...

Hey man, I’m currently looking at the Swoop as I’m thinking about going back to 27.5 hows it been riding for you over the past year? Any gripes?
