Looks like shimano XT's which is kinda' a sin on a hope bike with hope brakes. Needs hope rotors badly.

Great review! What was the issue behind your rotor rub? I found it is crucial with all Hope brakes that the caliper is exactly centered above the rotor. You also kind of need to massage out the pistons in their final position once the caliper is centered. Sometimes one side of the two pistons moves out a bit faster (initially) after set up, which can cause some rub.

I think a lot of people feel that way. Some noises like headset creaks drive me bonkers, but for whatever reason (loud hubs maybe?) I can tolerate some chirping from the brakes. Anecdotally, I think the Hope discs are the culprit, and I've found in a couple instances that their brakes get a lot quieter with different rotors. I need more data though and will update this when I've tried a few more options. Cheers!

I was visibly upset at how good that build was when I demo'd it. (Knowing I can't afford it.) I fear specs like the alloy version or even the carbon version with the air shock are inferior to this one (depending on what you're doing). As well as have a lot of solid competition per price point in the industry. But this bike in carbon with a coil and in MX is the actual 'qu!ver k!ller' people have (not) been asking for.
