Very good shock, as I ran one last year without any real complaints. The only issue is not directly with this shock, but how the industry as a whole still uses bushings at the mounting points. For three bikes in a row now, I have swapped out to needle bearings, and they allowed the shocks to really come alive. Plus, they are way more durable. MX bikes have used needle bearings in the shock eyelets for decades, yet we still use plastic bushings. Doesn't make sense.

I had the chance to ride Marin's version (in the parking lot) and really take a close look at that bike. It could be an interesting ride, but a few things I noticed: - The rear end is VERY flexy. Like, not even remotely close to the most flexy rear ends, way beyond that. You can move the rear end...

I'm not bashing, nor am I hating, we just predicted this unholy marriage over a decade ago. 3 frame sponsors in 4 years, Brian? It's time to take a good hard look at yourself. Rehab for character flaws is just called, "therapy." And as for those that say they wish they had Lopes's, "mad skills"...we all do. The point is that you need more than mad skizzies. The two protagonists of this announcement are, and repeat after me, bottom... of... the...barrel.

I don't get why there are so many brands wanting to pay older riders to represent their companies. What exactly are the brains behind Ellsworth thinking by promoting an older rider who doesn't even race anymore. The industry is changing fellas. Time to start hooking up the up and comers, you know, the guys who are out racing and providing media content. For the price you paid for Lopes you could have helped out a handful of kids I'm sure.

Sounds totally fair. Give the up and comers a shot, if they have the results to back it up. DH is a cruel animal, if your head (or body) isn't in it, you're done, and there might not be any recovering from it. I'm not saying this is the case with Sam, but it could be. Hard to stay on...
No arguments here. That drives me crazy too. There are way too many mechanics who have that elitist attitude because they can build a wheel or do a fork overhaul. Guess what - those aren't hard to do. It usually comes with guys who have just enough wrenching experience mixed with a lack of wisdom. Rarely do the older shop...
A while back I stumbled upon dhgate and saw all the TLD gear they had for dirt cheap. I was wondering if they were knock-offs or the real thing, just being sold direct from the factory. I ordered up a few jerseys. hahahahahahaha what I got was so terribly made and ill-fitting that there was no way it could pass...
