yeah, that's me. I'm glad i'm not the only guy with this type of background noticing the benefits. Who are you?!

wait a second! this video is suggesting motorcycles are the gold standard for wheel size. Maybe they're on to something. I'm definitely going to try and put a 21 inch front wheel and 19 inch rear wheel on my downhill bike tomorrow!

I have to agree with you guys, this video is terrible, i'm honestly a little surprised it got put on the main page, even still, the humor is not lost on me. I'm just confused as to why vital would go such lengths with the likely risk of alienating a portion (however small) of their viewers.... another interesting thought i've had in my short time on a squish 29er... I always just thought that an ideal DH 29er would have at minimum 8 inches of travel. Basically the same minimum we would consider for something to be a full on...

two weeks into owning my first 29inch bike. A 27.8lb 5.5 inch full suspension with a 68 degree head angle.... I have no choice but to defend the format. I'm shocked, i really wish i would have never opened my mouth before riding this thing..... Going from bounching down hills on little 26inch 100mm travel bikes at 4x world champs in switzerland to this bike is a pretty big change. I'm officially a proponent of 29 inch bikes, Just 2 weeks ago i thought they were pretty lame....WRONG. I'll gladly loan my bike out to anyone looking to make an...

12/6/2010 5:24pm It seems resistance is your biggest enemy, Rolling resistance is your biggest problem with all the scaled down DH tires, ie.. minions . the center tread of the Mutano Raptor provides fairly unparalleled efficiency for a 2.4 tire. This combined with the low weight make it a very, Pedalable tire. I even used the mutano for a while in the...

11/15/2010 10:37am Trex, just a little insight. The concerns that everyone has about worlds nominations at national champs has nothing to do with the Elite riders. They can all ride anything. Junior riders are the reason a nationals location is important, not elite. Up and coming riders have different skill, and fitness advantages then others. Its in our best interest to develop...

11/14/2010 6:59pm I've poached the old World Cup course at Durango mountain. I like it, could be a lot of fun to bring that track out for Nationals. Its fast and plenty challenging. But nothing too crazy so that all riders can make it down. Sorta like Windham in that sense. I did hear rumors earlier this season about Durango having a...

4/21/2016 10:19am I'm a west cost rider but i'm still a fan of seeing Nationals at Windham. With that said, Although Windham may have had a World Cup round which solidifies its "legitness", its CERTAINLY not the only track in the country which is worthy of making Worlds nominations or holding Nationals. I've always heard great things about Schweitzer, never been there...

4/21/2016 10:19am What about Windham! I'd say that Angel Fire "WAS" the best 4x track in the US. But, after racing the World Cup finals at Windham this year, that track was easily better then Angel Fire. Sadly, I'm a little concerned about Angel Fire's 4x future, given the unfortunate events that took place at that venue this past Chili Challenge, RIP...
