But the axle length and swing-arm width is exactly the same..?! The only difference is a wider flange on the hub (3.5mm each side accounting for the 7mm difference in 'standards') and grooves on the drop-out to make it easier to locate and seat your wheel when replacing it in the frame. "Floating" axle/hub combos are a complete pain-in-the-ass to properly locate; 142 is widely adopted and loved for a reason. http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=16729

My day at World Champs documented in video. Seeing all this talk of videographers being restricted to last 100m of track and 3 minutes of footage, I decided to chuck my own non-UCI restricted shaky-cam edit out there. My first time at World Champs and attempting a video like this but pretty pleased with the result. Riders appear in the order in which they finished, and thanks to them all for signing the Sicknessometer (again!) Shot mostly on a Panasonic GF1 with some additional shots from Fuji XP.
Teva wasn't a newcomer. They made ugly bike shoes with hard lousy rubber and they were expensive. They could have penetrated the market if they kept the cost down used good rubber and made them not look like neon shit.

Great opinion piece Vital. It's good to see you guys still have a little editorial edge in the age of junkets, and press-release regurgitation. And, from the look of all the comments, it's working to engage your audience! Good work.

Hi Dom Your right in saying the creases on the chamois help it form to the body, but its also a combination of getting the density of the foams correct. This is a dual density pad which also has lots of 1mm perforated holes to help breathability. These two density's are bonded together and then finished with an antibacterial brushed outer Polyester fabric. With the experience of our designers who have also worked in road cycling clothing it took us a year and a half to nail down the correct mix of foam densities to something our test riders and...

A top square-on view of the chamois pad would be nice to see the ergonomics and fit. Moving from a road background I've had some excellent - and a lot of really terrible - pads, but I've found as a general rule the more valleys for natural shaping in the sponge the better but it's difficult to really tell in your photo. It looks almost like a big crease up the middle and a coupe of superficial extras that won't do too much. Also, serious question, with the waist on the bib being that much higher for warmth, how much...
