Its a combination of everything, the bikes and gear getting better, riders getting more fit, and more bike skills. I think that also Gwin had a bit to do with everyone stepping their game, in my opinion confidence has A LOT to do with a riders performance, and Gwin's winning recently has given the younger guys that confidence they need...
