XT M785 cranks FTW! Lighter, stronger and stiffer than most others. Just because they don't come in anodised purple and don't feature any plastic doesn't make them a poor option. 104bcd also means that you can hoover up all the cheap chainrings

@mattymoo functionally too soon for a review as i still setting up and fine tune, so far it climbs, jumps and tracks much better than my expectation.. for me it's a step up, love it. physically the slider is tucked in and protected by "do not ride without fender" cover, build quality is good (though graphics is love/hate thing), rear quick release axle is nice and easy (though the forks comes with kabolt so you still need tool), no space for water cage (i made my own 3d printed container), eagle drivetrain is dope, and one thing that i love...

@tristan_mayor and @pinch flat Yes! Sandwich boost compatible.. LOL actually it's my own 3D printed container for medicine, snack and other small things - still work in progress though and it's more of function than looks Cheers and have a nice ride..

@pierson100 and @lucimate I standardize all of my bikes to 165mm cranks and this rather rare old XT is one of my favorites in terms of usability (104 BCD chainrings and BB choices) - the bike actually comes with nice set of descendant 175mm and direct mount steel 32T ring.. Thanks for commenting though, have a nice ride!
