Sick Build!!!! I built my Claymore up to 32.1lbs w/ CB Mallet E LS pedals. w/o pedals its 31.17lbs. Float X Rear/ Trust Performance Shout up front w/ Magura MT7's, Nobl TR35's and X01 Drivetrain. I'll post up pics once I get some good ones LOL

If you price out the new Yeti's, Their full builds are just about the same price if you built them frame up and paid full retail for the parts. I priced the T3 160 build frame up at ~$10400.....Yetis price is $10500. With current SRAM sales, you could build one up for $1k+ less than the full build price. No value gained in buying a Yeti full build.

Nailed it. The weight is mostly determined by spec choice so if you want burly, you get burly weight. I agree that the beefed up XC is the way to go on short travel, especially if you have multiple bikes.

I built up my spur beefy w/ a 19' Fox 36 140/Float X and it came in at 27.5lbs. The 19" Fox 36 was only 3mm taller than the 22' 34 130 I tried first. Bike is a BLAST! As a bigger guy, anything less than a 36 was too flexy. Spur is my beefed up XC Rig. Feels like a feather compared to all of my 150/170 Trail/Enduro bikes.

As someone who started on $500 dollar bikes 25 years ago and has slowly increased my threshold for bike spending over the years, I'm not as phased by pricing. There's a reason Kia, Honda, Mercedes, and Ferrari are all still in business, there are buyers at all price points. If I think bikes ever get too expensive, I'll be just as happy riding a steel single-speed hardtail. The bike looks solid, however, the weight is slightly surprising. As someone who "overbuilt" a Transition Spur and ended up with it around 28.5lbs, I'm just coming to realize that the tricky thing...
