The magic mary gravity pro's are really, really good... Been running then front & back all year. Noticeable damping difference on A-B laps vs Maxxis and Conti and excellent grip on wet roots (the previous weakness of magic mary's). Haven't tried the Tacky Chan yet, but it's on the list for a rear tire

For me, mallets are the worst by oodles and oodles... The most vague in & out, cleats wear out instantly, need quite a bit of servicing. They were so bad that they were essentially unrideable for me. It's mingboggling how many top dogs use them. I don't understand what I'm missing (or perhaps what they're getting paid?). I'm not sure...

So I did a run today on a large in the stock reach with +5mm chainstay chips and the low & linear setting. It was too small for me for sure, but I could tell it's a pretty dialed bike. I've been waiting on Session frame for warranty replacement since December 2025. Word is that the Session frames were embroiled in this whole forced labour dispute and are therefore stuck sitting in a shipping container in port somewhere. First, Trek said they'd deliver the replacement session in February Then that was delayed to May. Then that was delayed to November...

It's a barren wasteland for L/XL DH frames right now in Canada. I've given up for the time being, and will just continue riding and monitoring my cracked Session. But I'm very keenly waiting for a couple of imminent releases... Looking at you Norco

Not a big fan of the new costing system. I enjoyed the moneyball aspect of the previous version. Costing has coalesced with pinkbike, albeit with a smaller budget, so feels pretty similar
