b1k3r1d3r Added a comment about feature Are Suspension Lockouts Faster for Climbing? - Vital’s Short Travel Efficiency Test
7/25/2022 5:21pm Not sure this is a "Test" between all the variables and single lap for each setting. Good try at an "objective" comparison though.

bturman Liked a product review First Ride: Öhlins TTX Shock - Yellow Gold

Review by Brandon Turman // Photos by Cameron Baird, Specialized, & Brandon Turman If you want to cause a stir in the bike industry, one surefire way to do it is a bright yellow shock in a sea of black. What does yellow mean in the suspension world? It means Öhlins is here, and they mean business. After more than one year of testing, tweaking, and tuning, a collaboration between Specialized and Öhlins has yielded the TTX (Model # TTX22M), a shock specifically tuned for Specialized's big-hitting gravity bikes. We had the opportunity to ride a 2014 Demo 8 equipped...

5/28/2013 1:13pm Whats seems funny to me is that this is an actual 27.5 blur TRc. This bike may be more popular for the men if SC doesn't have something else up their sleeves.

5/24/2013 7:56am Shimanos are decent brakes no doubt but lack modulation. Already seen tons of carnage from shimano lockup syndrome. They either death grip or off, no scrubba function like the avids. Maybe avids are better for fast riders who dont brake just scrub speed. Shimanos are for people who need to STOP!!!!!

Should have done a quick proof-read. looks like I posted the early version. At this point I've had 2 months on these brakes. I'm light, at around 160, so I think that's why I didn't have power issues with the 160s. If 180s were available at the time I got them I would have went that route and plan on going 180 for racing enduro. Also, a little background i guess is I come from racing dh on the east coast, cat 1 and have been to collegiate nats a couple times. So, I'm another semi-slo racer with hopes of...

11/22/2010 7:07am best idea yet. Maybe instead of petitioning places to hold a race petitioning usac for venues other than sun valley. We should make it known that these events NEED to be held together. mtn biking is all the disciplines and theres no reason to separate the races. Plus, like mentioned all the sponsors will be pissed and we'll be taking...
