I always thought of doing something like this to go with my app (Bike Setup), but I always thought of doing it with bluetooth accelerometer things and then use some fancy maths to work out the difference in movement, unfortunately I don't have the time, hardware or ability to do any of that! I'm convinced its possible, one sensor at the top of the fork, one at the bottom, one at either end of the shock and maybe even near the centre of the rear wheel.

Bike Setup is an app (for iOS only at the moment) that lets you record the suspension settings on your mountain bike so that you can track the feel of your bike with different settings, figure out what feels good and what's faster.

Agree 100% with Sababike, I don't want my forks blowing through on the steep stuff and sending me over the front so I always set sag with a fair bit of weight over the front.
