I will stand by their hubs, have had Hydras and 1/1’s and they are dialed. The rims however… not so much. Combined with my issues on the Enduro S rims, a bunch of my buddy’s have had issues with 305’s and alike. I went back to EX511’s and haven’t had a single issue.

The wheels can be amazing and everything I am looking for, I would still probably go for the aluminum SC wheels. Putting that price tag and not having a lifetime warranty just seems kinda strange to me.

IDK about Enduro S but I've owned Enduro E305 and they're not durable at all. All it takes is a few chunky rocks and 3-4' drops to push them out of true, or worse. I ride with friends same terrain / style / speed etc their EX511 have been going for years. Maybe these wheels finally live up to the hype but I won't be paying $1400 to find out.

I hope they are more durable than Enduro S hoops, I went through 3 rear last year vs running EX511's without as much as a dent for the previous years past.

Dammit I deleted my previous comment by mistake, instead of replying... In my deleted comment I was saying that I beg to differ with this review, these wheels aren't that durable, I'm on my 3rd repair running them for about 3 years on my Specialized Enduro, and that I'm no EWS racer and they shouldn't fail so often. My last repair was due to a crack in the rim nipple, and i9 "graciously" fixed it for ~$300 - the cost of a new wheel elsewhere. Anyways, two gents correctly pointed out that this wheel hasn't been out for 3 years...

As of now, I'm not planning to pay to watch WCDH next season. Gave it a chance this year. As a fan, I want to understand what's going on. Every race is more confusing. The qualie-semi-final format is a waste of time. Either make the change you want or don't -- 60 or 30. Frankly I was stoked to see a 60 rider field last week. The coverage is confusing, lacking, boring, sometimes nauseating (hello, drone footage), and rife with errors. And I'm about as done with hearing the "growing pains" "give it a chance" "it's new ownership" cheerleaders as...

This is a FANTASTIC review article! Very thorough and I love how detailed your highlights and lowlights are. I currently own the Raceface Ambush (and like them, although I agree with your assessment). But this is definitely where I'll go to when I need to buy new pads. Would love to see this kind of review for lightweight chest/core protection as well
