Mechanics are worth their weight in gold, yes. But for someone like me who couldn't afford anymore than $80 for someone else to do it, we just look at internet tutorials if we don't know how to do something. To be an amazing bike mechanic, yeah it takes training. But most things you can do yourself with tools. Hell I used to service my forks myself as I wasn't going to pay $300.

Cant be all that bad if the bikes got a World Champs win last year in possibly the steepest gnarliest WC track of the season.
