I basically paid retail for a standard fork. You have to realize the number of these made vs Fox or RS as well as the complication of manufacturing it. It cost what it cost, worth it, you’d have to ride one. This is the least “parking lot” test fork going!

I just got a shout a week ago and have been able to get only one ride in so far. I am a small suspension service shop in Denver, but we have to pay for these! That said, they are kind enough to offer a nice price, but still a lot of dough But I feel I can be honest. It was ridden on our hardest and most technical trail on the Denver front range, Dakota ridge. My impression was, it was as claimed, in many regards to performance. Very precise steering, accurate and stable. The variable offset was noticeable...

2NABIKE Added a comment about feature A Better XTR? Vital Rides the New Shimano M9100 Group in Crested Butte
7/26/2018 11:08am Its not a nite-mare for us as a shop, but when the customers do not bring them in on a regular basis for maintenance it becomes a nite-mare! The King hub, as great a company as they are, need 2-4x the love versus most others.

7/26/2018 10:51am Hard to accept the price tag of the Enduro brakeset vs some others on the block. The new Hayes, Hope, Magura etc. And the weight is marginally lighter when compared 4 piston to 4 piston. I'll leave out Guides as they are terrible! And it sure seems the actual piston/lever design is the same, just a band clamp redesign. We consistently have to warranty the levers from leaking plungers, no other brake fails in this manner. And the King stolen ring drive...hopefully that won't be a maintenance nite-mare like the Kings! It all looks cool thou!

2NABIKE Added a comment about feature First Look: Q36R Quick Release System for FOX 36 Forks
12/21/2016 8:24am Thanks Team J! We have had great success with this product for all those reasons. We are now in our third production run and still selling very well, due in part that Fox is smart enough to have a true 20mm bolt style axle still available.

11/14/2016 1:41pm And I'd like to add that his wife Lindsey makes Kurt an even more desirable person to have on their squad. I had the good fortune to meet and ride with her for a bit as my wife took one of her clinics a few years back in Moab. Just the nicest person you could meet and a fantastic mtb teacher. Good luck~

3/19/2016 1:37pm Just mounted one of these for a customer, Followed directions. There is a green highlight on instruction sheet to grease the inner part that contacts the XD body but its rather vague. I removed it (still new) and applied a few (or more) wraps of Teflon tape as well as grease. Had to give it a few taps to seat the cassette, then lock it. I do think that is going to keep any noise at bay. Good idea and tip.

Holy moly that brings up some fun memory's! I remember doing all the MSC races and this one in particular because the chair lift was scarier than the race course! Man what a find Sean, put up more if you have it! I feel like we can ride better now on our 150mm trail bike then those old clunkers from 2001! Bernie is such blast to watch, i learned so much from seeing him race! Oh and look at MT bars, they look like 25" wide!

1/29/2016 11:20am Ha! Standards, that's a funny word in the bike industry! You can kinda see the far leading edge in the photo at top, showing highlighted wear placement, fits perfect of the Shimano!

1/29/2016 9:54am Yes and no! You'll have to add a couple washers to that model to clear the 203mm., works but kinda janky! Shimano makes the right one, but hard to find, this is Shimano's part # ASMMAF203PPM Also, Hope makes a +23mm adapter to go direct from 180 to 203mm, more expensive but pretty! Part # HBMBN

1/29/2016 8:49am Great review and right on target. We have been using this fork since the day it came out and continues to perform flawlessly, blows the Pike away is many aspects. As for the ability to remove the wheel quickly, please visit Q36R.com and this solve that issues in a pinch! Simple solution, uses the Fox factory axles either 15 or 20mm. Some guys/gals will install this for races only or just leave it on for simple car rack mounting/flat fix. But this give you the same strenght of the bolt on system in a QR. As Jeff commented about the...

2/9/2015 3:09pm That is a CDI Products torque wrench. We totally understand using the stock pinch system, this is just an alternative for adding convenience to a great product. This will not void the warranty anymore than changing to Push seals! The system uses a brass cam, not the Magnesium housing of the older Fox36, so no Sreeech! While it does have some "body" to the lever, it can take a hit and the levers are more hidden than they appear. Long live 20mm!

12/21/2012 1:46pm Completely agree with Austen. Tried both long and short cage on Sram's guidance. Makes a fancy 10K bike ride and feel like a Walmart bike. Sram was also not to willing to buck up for it either. Went back to a standard XO with a C-Guide and no more "Klunk". Shimano has it right-
