Hi lads, had a question on reach adjust headsets which I thought would be easy to find an easy answer too online but couldn't seem to, so apologies if this seems basic.
Simply put, does using a reach adjust headset (in my case to reduce reach) only affect the reach number, or does it also affect head tube angle due to whatever wizardry they are doing to bring back the axis by 5mm ?
I've seen on my searches it will add to stack height by 10mm, which in my mind means removing a stem spacer to counteract, or shorter bars. Or have I read this wrong and it will add 10mm between my frame and crown on my fork which would affect HTA ?
As you can see i am confused, on a 22 XL slash 8 so it has a tapered head tube if that will add anything to the conversation.
Appreciate any help, bike feels slightly on the large side so trying to bring it back a bit.

the slash i believe has an IS headset? these are difficult because theres no cups and i dont believe anybody makes one?

i looked back at my old slash photos and yes it uses the IS style headset which does not take cups.
so, that headset will not work.
p.s IS headset standard is shit.(imo)
