Gear for the bike for your phones and keys? I normally just put on any shorts i find in drawer, but it looks like i am going to need to buy some clothes for riding! Is there any cheap options out there?
If you want to ride far, you need some padded britches. Just buy the cheapest chamois you can find to start and then run them under an appropriate pair of shorts. I like Dickies work pants cut off to just above the knee. but that's just me. A breathable shirt would be the next thing. Ride.On.
hey john, if you search around the web, you can find some great deals on riding gear.. ive gotten some GREAT gear cheap at jenson .like big burd said, padded shorts are a must, i personallly wear a pair of padded under shorts under my D.H.shorts..and DEFINITELY a breathable top.. and are you riding D.H. or just trail riding ???
Trail riding is what i do , there are some good DH too in the trails here is a video i made it is the second time i was out with the new fatty, time 3:30 is a lot faster then beginning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujicntrQ38k i do alot of sailing too so u will see those videos on my channel too..
This is where I bought my shorts! I love em! $14 THE INDUSTRIES SCALLOP SHORTS. But they have limited sizes, just wait until they restock. Then buy price point $16 padded liner, and you're set to go!! Then look on pricepoint or jenson USA for jerseys. I got mine for like $20! You're welcome!
I usually just grab any old shorts for biking, but I’m thinking of getting specific gear for phones and keys. Are there any budget-friendly options? Also, has anyone had experience with j crew factory customer service for bike-friendly apparel? I’d love to hear if their service is reliable.
I strongly recommend finding the lightest cheapest hiking pants. I have 3 pairs of decathlon ones with 4 zipper pockets, they breath better that my fox flexair, have survived a few years of riding and will protect your legs a lot better from branches/briars etc than shorts.
I can fot all my stuff in my pockets and have a water bottle pump and multitool on the bike, game changer not aving to wear any kind of pack

Any updates here? I usually wear the ordinary shorts I work out in. Do I really need special shorts for cycling? What brand can you recommend?
