While we didn't go as far and certainly didn't capture it as well on "film", my friends and I went to a beautiful lake basin that I can't remember the name of last year. It's a lot harder to pack for camping on a bike than just walking in, which I've done plenty of. Every gram counts. We all slept in hammocks. There was a forest fire going near by, so the lighting was amazing. Can't pack that along. Comes free.

I've done swimpacking (some call it hydrotouring) in Norway, and I guess it's pretty similar to bikepacking in that you have to be as comfortable as possible both during the day and at night. Having comfortable nights while still enjoying the swimming/biking. It's a matter of making compromises, finding what works (eg using a tarp instead of a tent), without endangering yourself by packing too light.
