tire question.

im using the stock Bontrager tires that came with my trek 4300 disc, but there kinda poo and wearing out quick, so i need help with tires. my lbs in my town sell Bontrager or Maxxis. ride single track, lots of roots and some sandy spots, climbing, the usual stuff..

Maxxis tires are solid. One popular combo is a Crossmark in the rear and a High Roller up front. If you're looking for longevity, go with a harder durometer rubber compound (60a).

Specialized tires rule!! I'd say go with a purgatory or a clutch in the control casings. They are usually alot less expensive than Maxxis as well

ive been looking at maxxis, cause ive used there bmx tires before, i dont know many of the mtb brand parts.

also if this helps, i use tubes, and if there availible in 26x2.25

A 2.35 Maxxis will be roughly equivalent to a 2.25 Bontrager.

thanks! my lbs mainly order stuff when people when their about to do a big order, so i rather not wait a few weeks for tires Tongue
