Just because "everyone" has one, does not make them bad bikes. Spez is one of only a few companies offering up a complete 26" wheeled dirt jumper for less than $900

my specialed p1 am weighs 29lbs... is that heavy for a mtb? and overpriced? i payed $450 and have only replaced the forks, stem, handle bars... of coarse i i replaced the drive train with single speed-ness. total for a replacement of forks stem and handlebars came up to $400.

i think eastern has one bike for under $900. DMR is a good one to look at too.
