Lizard Skins Frame Patch Kit

Purchased these patches as well as the Carbon Leather Downtube protector for my Yeti SB66 a few years ago. Since then I've moved into full carbon frames. I've loved these patches so much that I have purchased more of them for the new bikes.

My favorite piece is the Carbon Leather Downtube protector because of how large it is. Many carbon frames come with molded protectors to help protect the downtube from rocks and other debris. Sometimes these guards are a little lacking in size and they don't fully protect the bike when the going gets rough. This was somewhat the case with my Santa Cruz Nomad. About a month ago I took of the stock guard and used this in it's place. After cutting the protector so it would clear my ISCG mounts the Carbon Leather Downtube protector almost looks like it was designed specifically for my bike.

One of the things that was most shocking about the protector was how malleable it was around the curves of the bike. The adhesive is strong and once it's applied you don't have to worry about it not doing it's job.

My only complaint with these protectors is that Lizard Skins doesn't sell a complete sheet of it. It would be awesome to have a larger sheet so I can custom cut it to fit other frames like the bottom of a DH bike.

I would recommend this product to anybody looking for a little bit more protecting for their alloy and carbon frames.
