Race Face Chester 35 Stem

A simple tool for the job, the Raceface Chester 35 stem is not going to get anyone looking twice at your cockpit. It is all about a very basic and functional design that simply works without any flashiness. What can you say? It's black, a reasonable weight (guessing around 150g for the 40mm as the 60mm is 170g), solid bolts that don't slip and subtle graphics. That's about it. I've ridden one for nearly two years as it came with the kit on my Wreckoning. I've considered on multiple occasions purchasing a fancier looking stem, but the lowly Chester has proven itself continuously. Basically, I haven't had to mess with it at all save initial adjustments. My ride position with the Chester and my Chromag BZA bars is so spot on, I've remained reluctant to change it out. It remains boringly trouble free. Maybe I'll replace it at some point with something prettier, but the Chester has set the bar high (see what I did there?) for inexpensive drama-free performance. Four and a half flaming pentagrams because perfection doesn't exist, but the Chester is rather excellent and humble to boot.
