More Info

The Downhill Carbon chainguide is a lightweight downhill chainguide used by World Cup racers as well as everyday riders. It weighs only 95 grams with a taco made of hard, durable PA plastic resistant to impacts with three points of stress relief connected to a carbon backplate. Titanium hardware is used to tighten all the parts of the chainguide with a minimum amount of weight.

The carbon backplate is a vital part of the Downhill Carbon chainguide, as it provides enough stiffness to protect your frame and chainring from impact. When encountering massive hits, which tend to happen on a DH course, the backplate is designed to absorb as much force as possible before breaking, thus protecting your ISCG tabs from damage.

A top guide is ideal for gravity disciplines. Tough and resilient, small in proportion, with a stealthy look, providing a silent ride, no matter what conditions are ahead.

An improved slider with replaceable PE plastics, is quieter than a roller and with a minimum amount of drag.

Titanium bolts used in Downhill Carbon chainguide are an essential part of Shovel Components philosophy: making the ultimate chainguide lightweight and the best downhill chainguide. Titanium Grade 5 bolts are used in all Shovel Components chainguides.

Reversed “C” design is one of the key benefits of Shovel Downhill Carbon chainguide as it allows riders to replace the chainguide without removing the cranks.
