YT Launches New Core IZZO Models

June 1, 2021 – YT’s IZZO might just be the steeziest way to slice up and down technical singletrack on epic adventures. One year after releasing their first ‘short travel’ trail bike with 130mm worth of travel YT Industries has refreshed their trail bike platform with new IZZO Core models. Having turned heads with the fast, agile & sharp bike in 2020 and a successful introduction to the world short travel trail bikes, the award-winning IZZO is ready to carve up trails around the globe yet again.

The IZZO – A fast climber, agile descender with sharp precision

Founded on the roots of gravity mountain biking YT has been known to redefine what mountain bikes in any category are capable of. True to their ‘Live Uncaged’ approach YT ventured to do the same with the development of the thrilling trail bike named after the confirmative German idiom “Is’ so”, which means as much as “That’s the way it is”.

Inspired by the Japanese Katana sword the IZZO turned out to be the sharpest YT with stunning climbing efficiency, highly competitive low weight while still being able to pack a punch on the downhill. Now, the direct brand is refreshing the line-up and introducing the new Core models. The IZZO is a dynamic everyday mountain bike with 130mm worth of travel front and rear that will have mountain bikers grinning from ear to ear both up and down the mountain. Available in three different model categories and color variations such as ‘Machine Grey’, ‘Assault Green’, and ‘Ice Grey’ for the time being.

IZZO Core 4 – Unleashing the full potential with Factory Level suspension

The IZZO Core 4 is built with the Ultra Modulus Carbon Fibre, meaning both front and rear triangles deliver maximum performance at minimal weight. Thanks to the new FOX 34 Float Factory with its GRIP 2 damper for unparalleled ride quality and ultra-precise tuneability paired with the FOX Float DPS Factory the IZZO Core 4 will surge over the most technical trail sections both uphill and downhill. Trusting in its speed and precision the SRAM XO1 groupset with an extended 520% range maximizes pedaling performance and efficiency, while SRAM G2 RSC brakes allow for perfect modulation and stellar braking power. DT SWISS XMC 1501 SPLINE carbon wheels and light MAXXIS Forecaster tires enable maximum stability, rollover capabilities, and acceleration.

IZZO Core 3 – High-end carbon frame with elite spec

Regarding the frame, the IZZO Core 3 follows suit with the highest possible quality at a minimum weight thanks to the Ultra Modulus Carbon Frame. Composed with carefully selected premium components the IZZO Core 3 delivers great trail performance thanks to the FOX 34 Float Performance Elite fork and FOX Float DPS Performance Elite rear shock. The extended range of the SRAM GX Eagle (10-52T) groupset improves the already stunning pedaling efficiency while allowing for precise and highly reliable gear shifting. YT also trusts SRAM when it comes to braking power. G2 brakes with 200 mm / 180 mm Centerline rotors make sure riders find the modulation they require on any trail. The tires of choice here are also the MAXXIS Forecaster that are paired with a DT SWISS M 1900 SPLINE wheelset.

IZZO Core 2 – Perfect combination of performance and efficiency

The IZZO Core 2 is built around a hybrid frame. Good Times are guaranteed with the HX frame, consisting of a Carbon fiber front triangle and an extremely durable aluminum rear-end. The FOX 34 Float Performance fork and FOX Float DPS Performance rear shock offer great performance and easy adjustability. The four-piston SRAM G2 brakes with 200 mm / 180 mm Centerline Rotors offer firm bite whenever needed and the 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle groupset delivers reliable shifting performance. The IZZO Core 2 also relies on the combination of the MAXXIS Forecaster and DT SWISS M 1900 SPLINE wheelset.

Availability and pre-order functionality

Depending on the model, size and color, YT expects initial shipments for the new IZZO Core models to occur by October this year. Any bikes with an availability lead time longer than eight weeks are eligible for the new YT pre-order functionality. Riders can pay a 10% fully refundable deposit to reserve their bike, with the balance being charged four weeks before the bike ships. Customers can see their projected ship date when placing their order.
