Vee Tire Co Announces MTB Legend, Mike King, as Tire Development Manager

Atlanta, GA (Oct. 15, 2013) Vee Tire Co announced today they have hired  former MTB and BMX World Champion Mike King as its Tire Development Manager and Brand Ambassador. In addition to tire development duties, KHS Bicycles is supporting Mike and Vee Tire Co in testing efforts with their Road, All Mountain and XC line of bikes that will fall under the Brand Ambassador role. Mike will be attending races, bike demos, and promotional events not only for Vee Tire Co, but for his supporting cast of sponsors.

One of the few Americans to win a UCI Downhill and BMX world title competing on the international circuits, King most recently worked for the UCI as a BMX technical delegate and served as a BMX commission member, as well as landing some consulting projects most recently with USA BMX. Before that, King worked with USA Cycling for seven years as the BMX Program Director, where he helped develop young American BMX Olympians and served as head coach for the U.S. Olympic BMX teams at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympic Games.  King is also a member of the National BMX Hall of Fame and will be inducted into the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame next month in Davis, Calif.
