PhotoRound #3 of the Fontana Winter Series is in the books, and it was our most successful event to date! Our entire team was in attendance, including our coach Aaron Gwin. The team is really starting to gel, and the results are showing!

Saturday's schedule was the typical Super D race and Downhill Practice. Our Super D specialist Jon Buckell has been on a tear this year, and came into the event looking to continue his streak of podium finishes. Buckell was riding his brand new Trek Remedy 9, and was feeling fast! After 2 solid race runs Jon's combined time was good enough for 3rd overall on the day. Congrats to Jon Buckell on another podium finish! Team Coach Aaron Gwin came through with the win in the Pro Men's Super D.

The Downhill course had a unique layout this time around, with some ultra tight corners near the top and middle section of the course. The sandy, rutted turns were challenging the riders, and it took extra patience to flow through smoothly. Thanks to our dialed in Fox Suspension, and Bontrager tires, the team felt extra confident headed into the race on Sunday.

Sunday was Downhill Race Day, and after each of us took a few practice runs we were all ready to go! First up was Team Manager Rich Houseman. Houseman put in a solid run, but only managed a 19th place finish.

Next was Jon Buckell, and he opted to race on his Super D setup TREK Remedy 9. Jon ended up 7th place in the Pro Men's field.

Coach Aaron Gwin set the fastest time of the day by nearly 4 seconds, to win the Pro Men's Downhill.

Next down was Jason Schroeder. Jason has been making steady progress this season with a 3rd, and 2nd place finish in the previous 2 events. This weekend he continued his climb to the top, taking the win in the Cat 1 18 & under class with a time of 2:11. This is the first win for our young team, and hopefully many more to come!

Next up was our 14 yr old So-Cal rider Charlie Harrison. Charlie has been training hard and it's paying off! As one of the youngest riders in the ultra competitive Cat 1 18 & Under class, he came in an impressive 8th overall.

2011 National Champion Logan Mulally, was next down. Logan made the trip out from the east coast and put in a solid ride for 6th place overall. Matt Branney was our last rider down the course, and he put in a steady ride for 13th place. We'd like to give a special shout out to Matt, as he's had to deal with some unfortunate circumstances over the last few weeks. All his bikes were stolen from his garage, and he had to piece a bike together just to make it out to the race. This all combined with blizzard like conditions at home in Colorado, cancelled flights, and he toughed it out and made the best out of the weekend! Good job buddy!
