Norco Celebrates Olympic Hopefuls With Custom Revolver Frames

Doesn't get much more Canadian than maple leaves imprinted on your frame!

Port Coquitlam, BC (July 21, 2021) - The potential of the Olympic Games runs through the veins of every athlete who commits to the pursuit of gold. For the select few Canadians chosen every four years, those golden hopes and the pride of your country courses through them like the veins of a maple leaf. When Norco Factory Team XC riders Haley Smith and Peter Disera were selected to represent Canada in Tokyo, Norco knew they wanted to celebrate and give their amazing athletes something special to commemorate the experience.

Since this is Norco's first-ever appearance at the Olympic Games, they pulled together all their creative energy to imagine one-of-a-kind design concepts for the Tokyo-bound XC machines. To achieve this unique paint job, Norco spun maple into gold by plucking actual Canadian maple leaves and imprinting them on Haley and Peter's Norco Revolver FS 100 and HT frames. This hand-crafted artwork was achieved by skilled artists from Velocolour and the result was a pearl, golden-green organic leaf texture that shimmers over a clear-coated carbon frame.

The frames were barely dry before being boxed up and whisked off with the hopes of surprising the two gold medal hopefuls, who are busy making their final preparations to take on the Izu MTB course next week. You can watch along to see how racing goes for Haley, Peter and the rest of the world's top XC racers next Monday, July 26th and Tuesday, July 27th.
