Crankworx Rotorua Tickets and Provisional Schedule Released

ROTORUA, NEW ZEALAND, 17 NOVEMBER 2014 - The five days of Crankworx Rotorua will be an epic spectacle and with ticket sales and the provisional schedule launched today, you can lock in plans to be there.

Crankworx is the world’s largest mountain biking festival and it will be held in Rotorua from 25 – 29 March, 2015 featuring the best pro-athletes as well as competitions, concerts and culture.

The provisional schedule released today shows the events during the week include: The Official Opening, Australasia Whip Off Champs, New Zealand Pump Track Challenge, Dual Speed and Style, Downhill, Crankworx Rotorua Enduro and the kickoff of the Crankworx Triple Crown of Slopestyle.

There will also be the Bikes and Beats Music Festival featuring New Zealand’s top artists and for the families – Kidsworx as well.

Kidsworx events will include Pump Track Skills Sessions, Pimp My Bike, Hipster Downhill Race, Big Game Hunt Competition and a Criterium.

Kiwi Enduro World Series Trek Racing Team rider Justin Leov says to begin the professional mountain biking season on home soil will be a confidence boost and he can’t wait to see family, friends and supporters at the festival.

“Crankworx is out of this world and everyone from festival goers, to sports fans and mountain bikers will thrive on the atmosphere – make sure you’re there to see it all go down,” he says.

The pricing for a five day pass is Adult: $69NZD* and child (14 years and under) $49*. A one-day pass is Adult: $35* and Child: $25*. Crankworx Rotorua event director Tak Mutu says the city is amping up ready to host and show why it is one of the world’s top mountain biking meccas.

“The five days of Crankworx are going to be incredible with an amazing atmosphere for spectators, families and the world’s mountain biking legends - it’s a good time to secure tickets, book accommodation and lock in travel arrangements with your mates,” he says.

Crankworx Rotorua is the third international event for Crankworx, adding to the current festivals in Whistler, Canada and Les 2 Alpes, France.
