BetterRide Camps, 2010

How do top pro and jr. Cat 1 racers ring in the new year?  By honing their skills in a BetterRide Skills Camp!

Wow, what a great weekend of coaching and riding.  After ending 2009 with a broken foot I started 2010 coaching one fast group of racers.  Pro racers, Heikki Hall (E13), Jackie and Dante Harmony (All Mountain Cyclery), Will Collins (Jett MTB), Szymon Kowalski and jr. ex racers Trevor Trinkino (Mojo Wheels), Matt Orlando, Matt Branney, Cody Kelly and Evan Blackwell join me for a three day skills camp at Bootleg Canyon.  Rookie World Cup racer Mitch Ropelato was also on hand for a skills tune up and to help me demonstrate skills if my foot wasn't 100% yet.

What did they learn?  Well on the second day of the camp Will Collins summed it up by saying, "this has completely changed the way I ride" and the other campers agreed.  They learned how to use their vision skills to see the course better and go faster, how to ride in control and in balance, consistently rail corners and drop seconds off their race times.  Look out for these racers in 2010 as many racers I have been fortunate enough to coach have worked hard enough to make to the World Championships*.

What does this mean to you?  It means you could learn a lot and start riding much faster if you learned the same core skills of riding that I taught them.  Then if you diligently do the drills I provide to master these skills you might even podium at a World Cup.  

Lucky for you I have a couple of camps coming up that will get you riding and racing at your best.

Feb. 26-28 Boulder City, NV (Bootleg Canyon) Women's Downhill Camp
