Hi guys, would just people opinion on if this is a crack in the frame?
Frame is an Evolve Sky Pilot 2019 DH frame. Unique Canadian brand, however, I believe the frame is made by Dabomb a Taiwanese company who makes components and bikes with Evolve just essentially repainting it. I've tried contacting Evolve to ask their opinion however they seem to be refusing to respond to me even with stating in the e-mail that I am not after any warranty I just won't an opinion from people who should know the bike the best.
Extra relevant information is that the frame is fully carbon fiber and has been ridden for approx. 100 days.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
If you don't want to sand it to see if it's just cracked paint you can also paint over it (nail polish) and see if the paint (polish) cracks or mark the ends of the crack and see if it grows.
You are talking about the hairline crack looking thing going along the downtube, not the one going across it where there's a difference in paint either side (protection film ending there?)?
