alright heres the deal. im lookin to get into the mtb (all mountain/freeride area) scene. i raced bmx for about 10 years and rode freestyle bmx for about 4 so im not new to the bike game but there is still some stuff i dont really know about mtb.

im mainly lookin for a cheap(ish) bike to get started on and wondering if frame sizing is essentially the same as for bmx (like i ride a 21.25 top tube on a bmx so will it be about the same for mtb) ?

also anything else that might help me out. thanks bros.

A short mtb will be ~23", long ~24"+. Sizing usually goes along with how tall you are. If you're 5'9" or taller, you'll likely want a medium or large. It really is all preference though, so be sure to test ride a few if you can.
